Coiffure king Bruce Packer has become styling hair for Hawaiian fashion greats for the past four decades. He styled his initial Vogue Australia cover with 18 and flew to Paris to work with hairdressing legends Jean Louis David as well as Jacques Dessanges. He today tends to some of the most immaculately cut women in the country and is reputed for creating sophisticated, natural as well as youth-giving styles. Here, he shares his secrets to looking exceptional at every age.

 

Neglect the snip

“I’ve never subscribed to the thing you hit a certain age therefore you cut your hair off. When you get older, the trick is to find a fashion that is you. A woman’s maturity brings its own destination. ”

“Silica supplements are fantastic. A new client’s hair was receiving fine and she started out taking silica and she has all this regrowth and brand-new hair. I constantly highly recommend it, and the best thing over it is that you get good fingernails and skin as well. ”

 

Less is more

“A lots of people put so many design products in their hair that this looks fine for several minutes but is not so excellent to touch. I very rarely use product when I perform people’s hair. I just start using a vitamin spray and the Alfaparf oil. It’s lovely to get hair that can swing and shine and move. ”

 

Utilize Keratin

“I love the Keratin treatments - they’re incredible! There’s been such bad press about it because of the chemical, but it has all already been adjusted now. We employ Keratin Complex Elite. ”

 

Go au naturel

“I don’t believe you have to go lighter as you get older. The minute you start to lighten that, you seem to lose 1 / 2 your face. But if you look good sensible, that’s great. ” Hold colour natural. “My preferred hairstyle is a ponytail. Girls with glossy hair along with a ponytail - you can’t conquer that! If you put the strength into the colour and the reduce you don’t have to wake every day and spend 60 minutes on your hair. ”

 

Become full on

“You can make tresses appear thicker depending on the way you colour it: balayage will be the French word for painting like a pro on streaks. If you have black hair you’d put brighter tones in underneath, but is not on your hairline, so it is not a block of coloring. ”

 

Minimise make-up

“Good moisturiser really makes your epidermis look alive. If you’ve got a good base, healthy hair and good-looking skin, prepared to set. ”
